I know Walnuttown has two Ferrera's on order, a engine 1500/1000, and a non walk-in rescue 500/500, does anybody have any additional info on the specs ?
WOW, seems like quite a bit of money being spent. What is the "rescue" actually going to be used as a RESCUE or are there other plans for the piece? I am assuming that they are replacing the current 2 engines. I know very little about 32...what is there current fleet?
Mt. Aetna ordered there squad yet ?
Bruce, I talked to a member from Mt Aetna. They have plans to replace Sq28, but have not started yet (plan on starting process in the new year). I was told they want a 2 door cab over (probably commercial), walk-in body, similar to current Sq28, just newer. This info was from a member, not an officer.

The chassis is a 1999 Kenworth W900 with a 430HP Detroit with a Super 10 trans. The tank is a 2004 Osco 3100 gallon stainless steel. Truck also has a 1000GPM Darley pump with (2) 5" intakes, (2) 5" direct fills, (2) 2.5" direct fills. The truck also comes with a 11.5hp floating pump. If everything works according to plan, we expect to receive the truck sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas. This truck will replace the 1979 GMC Tanker which was sold a few months ago to volunteer department in North Carolina.
 Any update?

A couple of apparatus updates:
CITY OF READING They now have a 1989 Chevrolet /Hesse, modified beverage body with roll-up side doors, rear walk in compartment. In 2007 had diamonette coffin compartments installed on body roof. Designated Haz-Mat 1. It was purchased from Mt.Ephraim (Camden Co.),NJ where in service as heavy-Rescue 455. It is stationed with Eng.11 at Spring and McKnight Sts. The 1985 Seagrave 1500/500 originally Eng.1, then Eng.13 then Chemical 1 was scrapped. REIFFTON They are going with Seagrave for the new rescue engine. The bid was awarded a contract will follow soon. Marauder II split tilt raised roof cab with seating for 8. 1500/500/30 enclosed pump panel and cross lays, and to be equipped with a full set of Amkus hydraulic tools, Para tech air-bags and other tools and accessories. 4 – 6000 psi “space saver” cascade, oil dry dispenser, exterior RV style awning, rope rescue stuff, water rescue stuff, QRS cert, 6000 watt light tower, and Federal Signal LED lighting package and Q2B, also roto-ray and power call. Some details subject to change. COUNTY OF BERKS Might have gotten another Chevrolet box truck for the HazMat team. Found out they re-chassised their rig as well as the box truck.
GRILL Now have a 1985 Chevrolet Blazer – ex. DCNR – Utility 70.
If anyone has anything to add, please do.
Many thanks,
Bruce

The department we are purchasing the tanker from is replacing it with a new smaller one that more fits what they need. They have ran into a few problems with delivery of their new truck, which was supposed to be early November. As of a few months ago, pending any other problems, they will take delivery anytime between the third week of January and the middle of February. Hopefully in the next few weeks we will be able to bring it home. I will update when we know.
