The Township of Spring VFD will have three openings for our Student Live-In Program (SLIP) beginning January 2008. The TSVFD runs four engines, two rescues, a tanker, a squad, a rehab unit, and a collapse unit out of two stations in the southwest section of Berks County. Our township is home to Penn State Berks-Lehigh Campus, and close to Berks Technical Institute, Reading Area Community College, Albright College and Alvernia College.

We offer a private dorm room in a state of the art facility staffed by four career firefighters and about 60 volunteers. Information, including a department application package and SLIP Guidelines can be picked up at our Central Station after November 1st, or mailed to you.
