Scott:
I just typed a VERY detailed, VERY lengthy reply to your question. I hit submit, and the system had timed me out. Get message - administrator disabled public access. Whole post.....POOF - gone.
I am bitter and angry and don't feel like retyping it.
So, the short answer without the explanation is...
No, RACC can't just be cut out. There are huge implications to an action like this. At the end of the day, every expense needs to be covered by someone. Who is going to cover the piece of the expenses that RACC covers?
Also, who is going to do the work (mostly administrative) that RACC does for these programs?
I am more than happy to discuss this with ANYONE who desires to understand it better. Feel free to call.

Matt gets them to me and I get them to our webmaster to post.
Matt puts a HUGE amount of time into this committee (both with the minutes and outside research/investigation of issues being discussed). This is despite some occasional difficulty in getting cooperation from members (including me I am ashamed to admit). I have never heard him speak about the needs of his company or his zone over the county as a whole. He deserves a huge vote of thanks from the entire fire service for this work.
