Schuylkill Valley EMS has purchased and will take delivery on a new MEDTEC at the end of June. The uit has been designed with various in cab and in box safety ideas including no interior bench seat. All Captain chair which rotate to sit by the patient. all seats have shoulder belts with the cpr seat having a 5 point harness. The units seats can be folded doen to create and area for a second patient needing transport. The unit is designed that whether you are sitting in a captains chair to the side of the patient the Main Captain chair all your supplies are at you finger tips so staff no longer have to walk around the inside of the truck while the truck is in motion to get equipment. STaff will either LOVE it or HATE it. Im excited to get the reviews. The unit also comes with various other safety devices since safety for our staff and patient is our primary concern.
