Basic Rescue Pratices Course 2007/01/26 03:53 Karma: 0
Fleetwood is hosting a DOH BRP bridge class during the month of March. This is the 40 hour course in which an Essentials or FF1 prerequisite is necesary. This is in anticipation of becoming a DOH Voluntary Rescue Service later this year. There may be a few spaces left. If anyone is interested let me know, I could forward you the information.
Besides Topton out our way is anyone else in the county already certified or has plans to do so. I have heard of at least one other company preparing to get licensed this year.

I assume you are talking about the DOH Rescue Recoginition program. It is not truly a certification. West Lawn, the old station 65, obtained the recoginition as part of the pilot evaluators program in 2002. Now that the TSVFD merger is complete, we intend to reapply for the recognition under the Heavy Rescue category.
The BRP class is a big part of the training requirement, and we may have a few that would be interested in the bridge class.
